Warranty FAQ

Common questions about Epilogue's limited hardware warranty coverage and claims.

2 min read

Quick answers about warranty coverage. For complete legal terms, see the full Limited Hardware Warranty.

What does the warranty cover?

Epilogue warrants hardware products against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally according to our guidelines. This covers manufacturing defects—if your device stops working due to a fault in how it was made, we’ll repair or replace it.

How long does the warranty last?

One (1) year from the date of original retail purchase. Keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.

EU/EEA customers: You have a 2-year legal guarantee under EU consumer law.

What is NOT covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover:

  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, broken plastic)
  • Damage from accidents, misuse, or external causes
  • Damage from unauthorized service or modifications
  • Damage from third-party components that don’t meet specifications
  • Software issues
  • Normal wear on consumable parts

Important: Do not open your device or remove protective case. This voids the warranty.

How do I file a warranty claim?

  1. Visit our support center and try the troubleshooting guides
  2. If the issue persists, contact support with:
    • Proof of purchase (order confirmation)
    • Description of the problem
    • Photos or videos if applicable
  3. We’ll diagnose the issue and provide service options

What are my service options?

Depending on your situation, Epilogue may:

  • Repair your device using genuine Epilogue parts
  • Replace your device with the same or equivalent model
  • Refund your purchase price

We’ll also offer mail-in service with prepaid shipping.

Does the warranty transfer if I sell my device?

The warranty follows the device, not the owner. However, the new owner needs proof of the original purchase date to make a claim.

What about software issues?

Software is not covered by the hardware warranty. For Playback software issues, check our troubleshooting guides or contact support.

Can I get service in a different country?

Epilogue may restrict warranty service to the country where the device was sold. If you travel or move, contact us to discuss options.
