1 min read
Playback includes rewind and fast-forward features to enhance your gaming experience.
Fast-forward
Speed up gameplay to skip through slow sections, grinding, or unskippable cutscenes.
How to use
- Enable in Settings > Playback > Enable Fast Forward
- During gameplay, click the fast-forward button in the control bar
- Click again to return to normal speed
The default speed is 2x, adjustable up to 10x in Emulator Settings.
Rewind
Made a mistake? Rewind lets you go back in time and try again.
How to use
- Enable in Settings > Playback > Enable Rewind
- During gameplay, click the rewind button in the control bar
- Release to resume from that point
A visual effect indicates when you’re rewinding. Configure rewind buffer size and speed in Emulator Settings.
Tips
- Fast-forward is great for RPG grinding or slow text
- Rewind uses memory — reduce the buffer size if you experience performance issues
- Both features can be toggled during gameplay without pausing
- Use slow motion (below 1x) for precise timing in difficult sections
- When Hardcore Mode is enabled for RetroAchievements, rewind is disabled
