Discord Integration

Playback integrates with Discord® Rich Presence to show your friends what game you’re playing in real-time.

What your friends see

When connected, your Discord status shows:

Playing Playback
"Your Game Title"
on Game Boy Advance

This appears in your Discord profile, friends’ activity feeds, and server member lists.

Platform availability

Discord integration is not available on ARM-based Linux systems (e.g., Raspberry Pi). This is a limitation of Discord’s Rich Presence library.

Setting up Discord

Step 1: Open Integrations

1. Click the Playback logo (top-left corner)
2. Select Settings
3. Go to Integrations
4. Find the Discord section

Step 2: Log in

1. Click the Login button
2. Your web browser will open automatically
3. Log in to Discord (if not already logged in)
4. Click Authorize to allow Playback to access your Discord status
5. Return to Playback — you should now be logged in

Step 3: Verify connection

Once connected, the Discord section shows your Discord profile picture and username.

What information is shared

• Save data
• Personal files
• Play time statistics
• Achievement progress

Managing your connection

Logging out

1. Go to Settings > Integrations
2. Find the Discord section
3. Click Logout

Your Discord status will stop showing Playback activity.

Re-authenticating

If your connection expires or has issues:

1. Log out (if still logged in)
2. Click Login again
3. Re-authorize in your browser

Troubleshooting

Revoking access completely

To fully disconnect Playback from Discord:

1. In Playback: Settings > Integrations > Discord > Logout
2. In Discord: User Settings > Authorized Apps > Playback > Deauthorize
