Windows Setup

Getting started with Playback on Windows® is straightforward. No additional drivers are required.

System requirements

See the Downloads page for current system requirements.

Installation

1. Download the Windows installer from our downloads page
2. Run the installer (playback-setup.exe)
3. Follow the installation prompts
4. Launch Playback from the Start menu or desktop shortcut

Connecting your Operator

1. Connect your Operator device using the included USB-A to USB-C cable
2. Windows will automatically recognize the device
3. The Operator’s LED should light up solid

No driver installation is needed on modern Windows. The Operator uses standard drivers that are built into Windows.

Older Windows versions

Older Windows versions may require manual driver installation. We recommend using a supported Windows version for the best experience. See Downloads for current requirements.

Troubleshooting

Operator not detected?

• Try a different USB port (use ports directly on your computer, not a hub)
• Check Device Manager for any unknown devices or driver issues
• Restart your computer and try again

App won’t launch?

• Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date
• Check that your system meets the minimum requirements
• Try running as administrator
