Updating Playback
How to update the Playback app to the latest version.
2 min read
Keep Playback up to date to get new features, bug fixes, and improved compatibility.
How updates work
When a new version of Playback is available:
- Playback notifies you that an update is ready
- Visit our Downloads page
- Download the latest installer for your platform
- Run the installer to update
The installer will replace the old version with the new one while preserving your settings and save data.

All your data is stored separately from the application.
Firmware updates
Your Operator device also receives firmware updates. These are delivered through Playback itself — when a firmware update is available, Playback will prompt you to install it.
See Firmware Updates for details.
